SPAN 241 - Special Topics in Spanish: Issues in the Spanish Speaking World Today(3,0) 3 Credits Prerequisite(s): SPAN 202 - Intermediate Spanish II or appropriate score on Spanish Placement Test. This course addresses, in Spanish, current issues in Spanish-speaking countries. Those issues may include, but not be limited to: Mexico-U.S. relations, the condition of indigenous peoples in various countries, nationalist movements in countries like Bolivia and Venezuela, Cuba after Castro, Spain and its Muslim citizens.
