DENT 201 - Clinical Practicum

Clinical: 300 Hours 5 Credits
Prerequisite(s): DENT 100 Clinical Applications of Dental Materials  , DENT 101 Anatomy of Orofacial Structures  , DENT 102 Fundamentals of the Dental Profession  , DENT 103 Medical Emergencies in Dentistry  .
Corequisite(s): DENT 202 Dental Sciences  , DENT 203 Community Dental Health  , DENT 204 Dental Office Management  , 
The Clinical Practicum provides the opportunity for the dental assisting student to apply principles learned in first semester courses.  Students will utilize dental materials, pre-clinical  and expanded functions skills, as legally delegated by the New Jersey State Dental Auxiliary Practice Act in an off campus dental setting under the supervision of licensed professionals and the direction of RVCC faculty.
