Massage Therapy


Licensed Massage Therapists are able to perform Massages for Relaxation, Symptom Relief, Injury Prevention and Doctor Prescribed Massage. This Entry Level Massage and Bodywork Program offers an introduction to career opportunities and successful practices in the Massage Profession. Training will involve preparing for work in the Hospitality Industry, the Health Care Industry and Private Practice.  Course content will include: Massage Theory and Principles, Professional Practice, Ethics, The Therapeutic Relationship, Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Basics of Pharmacology, Assessment and Documentation, Massage Movements, Body Mechanics, Palpation, Treatment Planning, Business and Career Development.  Upon completion of 750 Hours students will be required to perform massages in the student clinic.  Employment opportunities may be found in Clinics, Home Care, Rehabilitation Centers, Medical Offices, Hospitals, Chiropractic Offices, Private Practice, Spas, Medical Spas, Cruise Ships, on Location Chair Massage.

This program will prepare Students to take the New Jersey State licensure exam.
