The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of physics and to strengthen their understanding of concepts in physics through problem-solving and laboratory experiments.
Graduates are able to:
- understand the fundamental principles and laws of physics
- use the principles and laws of physics to analyze and solve physics problems systematically and logically
- apply critical thinking skills, mathematical techniques, and use appropriate computing tools to solve problems in physics
- collect, interpret, and apply theoretical strategies to the analysis of data
- conceive reasonable inferences in response to observations
- synthesize information for the purposes of discussion and written work
Raritan Valley Community College Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degree programs are designed to comply with the New Jersey Community Colleges General Education Foundation which supports transfer of courses to NJ Public four-year colleges and universities.
