(3,3)4 CreditsPrerequisite(s):BIOL 102 - General Biology IIor BIOL 150 - Plants, Humans & the Environment or permission of instructor. A field study of the plants of New Jersey, emphasizing methods of plant identification, the characteristics of major plant families, plant ecology and conservation. Labs consist of field trips to local natural areas, and will introduce students to the plant species of the region, their habitats, and relations to other species. Two weekend field trips required (Pine Barrens and Appalachian Mountains). Offered in summer and fall semesters only.
