General Education Course: Humanities-English Literature Prerequisite(s): ENGL 111 - English Composition I . American Literature: Post Civil War to the Present introduces students to a diverse range of American literary works that have been produced from the mid-1860s until the contemporary moment. Students will critically read literary works from representative American literary movements of this time period within their social, political, economic, and aesthetic contexts.
