ARTS 246 - Graphic Design I(2,2)3 Credits Prerequisite(s): ARTS 105 - Two-Dimensional Design . This course is an introduction to the concepts and processes of graphic design. Students learn about the field of graphic design and work with computers in bitmap, vector graphic, and page layout software, as well as with traditional art and design media. Projects involve digital imaging, typography, identity design and page layout. The designer’s creative process and problem-solving skills are emphasized throughout the course. Students will purchase some art supplies.
