BIOL 149 - Field Ornithology(3,3)4 Credits Prerequisite(s): 1 semester of Biology-related course (e.g.BIOL 101 , BIOL 102 , BIOL 111 , BIOL 124 , BIOL 125 , BIOL 133 , BIOL 150 , BIOL 120 ). This course is a field study of birds, focusing on the identification, biology and conservation of resident and migrant species of New Jersey. Students will be introduced to basic concepts in the taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, behavior, ecology and conservation of bird species in New Jersey and around the world. Field trips will cover a broad range of habitats and natural areas in the state.Offered in the spring semester.
