BIOL 139 - Introduction to Marine Biology

Introduction to Marine Biology is designed to introduce students to the various marine environments of the world and the organisms found in them. Emphasis will be placed on the biological features of the oceans, organism-habitat relationships, and general ecological concepts of influencing marine populations and communities. Topics will include learning the ecological relationship between flora and fauna, recognizing influences that affect marine organisms, and the classification and identification of marine species.
