Computer Programming, Certificate

The Computer Programming Certificate program prepares students who want the essential technical competency required for entry-level employment in the computer field.

The objective of this program is to develop an understanding of basic concepts and tools of data processing and skills needed in present-day computer operations and programming languages. Operations and programming are studied.

Graduates are able to:

  • solve information processing problems by producing well designed algorithms and using object- oriented programming language for application development
  • use database design principles to produce efficient databases
  • collaborate effectively as a member of a team to interpret data by applying quantitative reasoning used in the analysis and design of business systems
  • recognize the ethical, social, and economic implications of the uses of the computer
