PHYS 250 - Engineering Physics III (3,3) 4 Credits
General Education Course: Science (lab) Prerequisite(s): PHYS 150 - Engineering Physics I and or their equivalents. Corequisite(s): MATH 152 - Calculus II or its equivalent. This course is the third semester of a three-semester sequence in introductory calculus-based physics, which is required for students majoring in the engineering sciences. It is also highly recommended for transfer students majoring in the physical sciences. Topics include oscillations and waves, geometric and physical optics, fluids, heat and temperature, and the laws of thermodynamics. The Honors Option is available for this course. Offered in the fall semester.
