CHEM 214 - Organic Chemistry II- Lecture Only

(4,0) 4 Credits

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 211 Organic Chemistry I or CHEM 213 Organic Chemistry I- Lecture Only .

This course is a continuation of Organic Chemistry I. Topics include properties of organic compounds, organic chemical reactions, reaction mechanisms, and organic synthesis. Students will learn the chemistry of alcohols, phenols, ethers, conjugated dienes, aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, acyl halides, acid anhydrides, esters, amides, nitriles, and amines.
