COSM 110 - Cosmetology Foundations

600 hours (non-credit)
Cosmetology Foundations is an introductory level of training. Students will be taught the basic skills and techniques needed to work on clients. This course covers shampooing, basic hair & scalp care, introduction to haircutting, styling, and infection control. Hair coloring skills, braiding, and introduction to the “Salon Floor” will also be covered. Anatomy of the hair, along with its diseases and disorders will be covered. Job postings are updated regularly from local employers to expose students to various types of businesses and provide potential employment opportunities.
