PHYS 250 - Analytical Physics III (3,3) 4 Credits
General Education Course: Science (lab) Prerequisite(s): PHYS 150 - Analytical Physics I and or their equivalents. Corequisite(s): MATH 152 - Calculus II or its equivalent. This course is the third semester of a three-semester sequence in introductory calculus-based physics, which is required for students majoring in Physics and Engineering Science. It is also highly recommended for transfer students majoring in the physical sciences. Topics include oscillations and waves, sound and electromagnetic waves, geometric and physical optics, interference and diffraction, fluids, heat and temperature, kinetic theory of gasses, laws of thermodynamics, heat engines, and entropy.
