The Automotive Technician program is a competency-based program designed by local industry experts and employers to best ensure you get and keep a job at the end of training. The program mirrors a real-world workplace as closely as possible. All program standards have been set to match the performance expectations of workers in this field. You will become an Automotive Entry Tech only after demonstrating that you have mastered the essential knowledge, skills and behavior shared by the industry’s highest-performing workers. These standards are set by expert workers, employer endorsed, and carefully crafted into a professional training program that is centered on your success.
The Automotive Entry Tech program is approximately 12 months long. This program will teach you the Automotive Fundamentals, Transmissions & Drivelines, HVAC Maintenance, Automotive Electrical Service & Maintenance, Steering, Suspension & Brakes, Fuel System Maintenance, Cooling System Service and includes a required Professional Practicum. The Professional Practicum provides a broad base hands-on experience in the real workplace.
