Veterinary Technology, An Articulated Agreement Leading to the A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College (Florida)

This specialized agreement is in partnership with St. Petersburg College. Students will enroll and complete their general education courses at RVCC. They will then apply and be approved for the selective program at St. Petersburg, after which they will enroll in distance learning (online) courses to complete the degree. Full-or part-time employment with a Veterinarian is required as part of this program. NOTE: Financial Aid will not be awarded by RVCC for this program. Students may be eligible for Financial Aid from St. Petersburg.

Curriculum – Articulated Agreement Program


The following general education courses are required to be completed at RVCC prior to admission at St. Petersburg.1

1 The program requires significant computer experience. RVCC students without such background should also take CISY 102 Computer Literacy  in preparation for their online courses. A placement test in English and Mathematics is required to meet prerequisites.

2 Select a course from the appropriate category of the General Education & Computer Science Electives List  list. HIST 101 World Civilization I  is recommended for a Humanities course and POLI 121 American Government and Politics  is recommended as a Social Science course.

3 Mathematics by official placement test. Students may not take courses below placement level. Choose either MATH 101 Number Systems , MATH 112 Precalculus I , or MATH 110 Statistics I .
