ARTS 216 - Ceramics II

(2,2) 3 Credits

Prerequisite(s): ARTS 215 - Ceramics I .
Ceramics II introduces students to the basic theory and practice involved in making forms on the potter’s wheel. Students will learn basic wheel thrown forms that can be used in functional pottery and ceramic sculpture. Students will also learn glaze and firing techniques using glazes for the gas kiln. Students will purchase some art supplies such as clay, a ceramic tool kit and glaze brushes.
