SOCI 220 - Film & Popular Culture: Image & Reality
(3,0)3 CreditsPrerequisite(s):SOCI 101 - Introduction to Sociology (if taking for Social Science credit). Explores the myths and realities of American popular culture through the screening of films and informed reading. The course will examine how images reflect and distort American social behavior. Topics covered include crime, violence, sexuality, class, race, and consumerism. Students will select to earn credit for either SOCI 220 or FILM 220.
